Love Love Lovin’ Lasagna

I am going to speed up the sauce prep using a canned tomato puree and pre-sliced veggies.
This is a winner with all my critics in the kitchen integrating the veggies you need to stay healthy and strong in all this lovley sauce meat and cheese goodness they guys will forget they are even eating vegetables.
- 28 oz Tomato puree
- 1 lb hamburger meat raw
- 1 box no cook lasagna noodles
- olive oil 3 tbs
- basil 5-6 tbs
- oregano 5-6 tbs
- salt pepper 3-4 tbs
- 3/4 cu red wine
- 3/4 cu pre sliced raw mushrooms
- 1/2 cu raw carrot shreds
- 2 zucchini thinly sliced long way (flat pieces)
- 1 cu shredded mozzarella cheese
- cottage cheese 3/4 pint
- fresh minced basil and fresh minced flat parsley (for garnish)
- parmesan cheese chunks (garnish)
- 9×12 baking pan
- 15″ saute pan
Brown on Medium to medium high the hamburger meat adding 2 tbs both salt and pepper.Then add 1.5 tbs dried basil and another 1.5 dried oregano. Mix well and let cook till all the pink has disappeared.
Starting the sauce empty your 28 oz tomato puree into oiled heated sauce pan at medium heat . Use about 2-3 tbs of olive oil. Add the rest of your salt and pepper about 2 tsp each. Then add the rest of your dried basil and oregano about 1.5 tbs each. Stir well and add your 3/4 cu red wine. Simmer on medium for 20 minutes.
Start you your layering of 1 cup sauce on the bottom of your baking dish then add:
- cooked meat
- carrots shreds
- cottage cheese
- mozzarella cheese
Cover with foil and bake for 35-45 minutes until noodles are tender. Garnish with minced flat parsley and basil. Top with chunks of parmasen cheese!
